Description: Our offering 2 pieces German Westerwald style salt glazed stoneware 2005 Honey Pot with Lid and Stir Stick and 2000 Bowl… lovely cobalt blue decoration. Founded by Phil Schaltenbrand. Hand painted with Cobalt Design. Blue and grey stoneware was made in Germany’s Westerwald region as early as the 16th century. These vessels were sold throughout the continent and were prized for their strength and beauty. Later Colbalt-decorated stoneware was produced by 19th century American potters. Westerwald Pottery has been making custom personalized stoneware pottery since 1975. Daviess County Pottery Founded by Phil Schaltenbrand. Hand painted with Cobalt Design. With reasonable care these pieces will last indefinitely. We strongly suggest you pass it on to future generations.
